The Contact Center from the Veldwerk Foundation.

From Tuesday until Friday I am working at the Contact Center. I teach both classes for one hour everyday.
Together with René I went to look for some books which I could use for giving extra English lessons, next to the English classes the teachers give in the afternoon.

The lessons are various and the children learn about different subjects while playing, for example: body parts, colors, math, animals, clothes, fruits and vegetables.

Every lesson different activities are done. The children write, colour, cut and paste and sometimes they play games, like body parts bingo and animal memory.
The children like it very much. They are always enthusiastic and curious about what they are going to do. The teachers of the Contact Center also like the activities very much.

The children made drawings of fruits and vegetables and those are hanging in the classroom so they can learn the names. I also brought a book about Holland and Nepal and the children where amazed about the pictures. We also danced the Hokey Pokey, the children liked that very much.

For me it has been a great experience. I am happy that the children have learned something because of my lessons.
