Brigit Eijgenraam was one of the volunteers of the last period. Brigit was teaching at a school in the Chitwan area and back in Kathmandu she helped in children home Hamro Niwas as well.
I always have to think about these questions because in my opinion we already have everything we need. Except of course some extra money for our new house.
But in a conversation with Didie the idea of an electrical sewing machine came up. Then we can make our own cloths as well as altering and mending the school uniforms. These are very expensive and every child needs to have 4 of them.
So we went to the store and picked out a good one. So our cooking Didie is now also sewing Didie. And she is very pleased with her new activities and besides the new cloths for the kids she can also make beautiful saris for herself.
We want to thank the family Eijgenraam.
Brigit had invited her parents to pay her a visit to see what their daughter was doing in Nepal. More parents come to Nepal and it is always easy to have some one to pick you up at the airport and guide you through beautiful but rough Nepal.
Among other things her parents went to the school in Chitwan where Brigit was working at that time. But of course they also stopped by at the children home.
Most visitors find it a great experience to see how happy the children are especially when you compare it with their past lives and their terrible background stories (read the stories about the happenings round the children home, Sandip, Puja and Samjana)

The parents of Brigit wanted to help us with something we needed, something concrete.
