The Zoo.

The children had school holiday and they were busy with the flowers in the garden. However, during holiday it is also time to do other nice things.

Marga Korthof was a visitor who passed by and back home in Holland she is also a sponsor of our new children home. So Marga came up with the idea to visit the Zoo with the children.
So we did! I arranged the bus and the date, Marga did the rest!

A lot of things are not as good arranged as in Holland or in Belgium. As a fact we did not except so much from a visit to the Zoo in Kathmandu. We were totally wrong. Different kinds of animals were walking, sleeping and swimming there. They seemed to be in good shape and above all the surroundings were clean. It is a good place to spend a nice day: a big playground, a pond with boats and nice climbing treas.

However, it can be dangerous in the Zoo. Behind from the fencing it is very easy to have contact by touching the tigers and the other animals. Probably, first a hand has to be bitten of before the fences are removed further from the animals. Beside this fact, the Zoo is big and great.

It was a nice and warm day. The animals were tired and so were the kids after a few hours. At three o clock it was time to leave and go home. With many thanks to Marga who spent her free time for the children's home at a very nice way.
